We ship worldwide using airmail from Canada. Shipping costs for the books are calculated on the actual shipping size and weight, including the shipping materials and include all recent increases (January 15, 2007) in postage rates. There is no charge for handling. Shipping for the cards is included in the price. If you wish to know the cost of shipping a book, please add an item to your shopping cart. Shipping will be calculated at the time of check out and you may cancel your order if the shipping costs are not to your liking. If your country does not come up in the country listings, you will need to contact us and we will provide you with a cost of shipping to your address. If you wish to use an alternative shipping method, please contact us at orders@spiritofpowwow.com prior to purchasing and we will arrange for an estimate from the third party shipper of your choice. We will use anyone you wish but have accounts with Fedex and Canada Post Express Post services. If you have an account with someone else, we would be pleased to parcel your purchase to meet their specifications.
If price is a factor in your decision, the surface parcel rate to the UK and Europe is less expensive, but it does take six to eight weeks for delivery. Please contact us if you wish to have your purchase shipped in a manner different than what your check out order is. Size and weight of one hard cover book (without shipping materials): 11.5 inches(29.5cm) high by 8.75 inches(22cm)wide by .5 inches(1.5cm) thick. The weight is 1 pound, 11.5 oz (780g)
It fits into a #6 bubble envelope, shipping corners included, if you do not want express shipping.
Size and weight of one soft cover book (without shipping materials):11 inches (28cm) high by 8.5 inches(21.5cm) wide by 3/8 inches(1cm) thick. The weight is 1 pound, 4 oz (580g). It just fits into a #4 bubble envelope if you are not shipping express, but the protective corners do not.
We use protective corners on all express orders. The size does not materially change with shipping paper but the corners will add 1/4 of an inch (5mm) on each side. We have looked at the costs of shipping express and using the bubble envelopes and regular mail. The difference was so small we elected to go with express. That is the fixed cost that will show up when you check out your order. If you wish to have your book sent regular mail, please contact us and we will arrange the invoice for you with the proper shipping costs on it.
Express in Canada is priced for two regions from where we ship from: Western to the Manitoba border (Regional) and the Lakehead and the rest of Canada other than the Western region (National). They are fixed pricing and are to be delivered to major centres in three business days. This does not include weekends and holidays. Locations other than major centres, will add at least a day, if not two if you are quite remote.
Shipping includes insurance up to $150 CDN, Delivery confirmation, ExpressPost delivery and all fuel surcharges.
